Who It's For

  • While this course primarily focuses on achieving and maintaining a thriving status, it also delves deep into suicide. This can be a difficult topic, but by the end of this course, you'll have new perspectives and tools to help you navigate challenging and common situations.

    Learning objectives:

    • Understand how to achieve & maintain personal wellness through self-care

    • Identify and eliminate stigma

  • Very few things compare to the pain and guilt of questioning if you could have done more to help. And despite all the conversations around mental health, many people aren't prepared to support someone in crisis.

This session will prepare you for difficult conversations. With a deeper understanding of depression and suicide, you can release the fear and uncertainty surrounding suicide and gain the confidence to provide life-saving love and support.

    Learning objectives:

    • The three factors that increase the risk of crisis and the three factors that reduce the risk

    • How to confidently respond to someone in crisis using the SIT method

  • We can not be our best selves by ourselves. To become our best selves, we need meaningful connections with others.

We also need to nurture the physical, mental, and emotional components of all that we are so we can thrive—even in challenging times. This holistic view of health makes it possible for everyone to live a life they love.

    Learning objectives:

    • Understand how physical, mental, and emotional health are connected

    • Learn how each system impacts health

  • Emotional health is the most overlooked and misunderstood aspect of wellness. It's not just about how we feel. It is about our sense of self and ability to relate to others and cope with life events.

Better emotional health opens the door to self-awareness. This allows us to create more meaningful connections to the people and world around us.

    Learning objectives:

    • Discover what it means to thrive

    • Apply The 5 Love Languages to crises

Author, international speaker, and educator Jenny Thrasher brings a much-needed voice to the mental health conversation. In addition to language, evidence-based practices, and self-care techniques, she uses personal stories to move audiences beyond clinical awareness to a humanized understanding.

Jenny has dedicated 24 years to understanding and overcoming health challenges. Despite a degree in Psychology, she attributes her authority on the matter to her life experiences. After losing her father to suicide and almost losing her daughter, she realized intervention alone isn't enough. To truly prevent suicide, people have to live a life they love. Jenny is the author of "Growing Through Grief," a guide to healing after losing a loved one to suicide. She also founded Growing Out Of Darkness and is a recognized advocate.
