Lunch & Learn Series
There's recently been a lot of discussion about the mental health crisis facing our kids. No surprise given that suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among 15-24 year-olds. (Source)
Contrary to popular belief, talking about suicide doesn’t increase the risk. In fact, having informed conversations with kids about suicide can dispel misinformation and send a powerful message that you care.
Don't avoid the conversation because it is difficult, but don't force it if you're unprepared.
Fusion Academy and All That We Are are partnering to help you confidently say "YES" to each of these questions.
Do you feel comfortable talking about mental health?
Are you creating a safe space for someone to ask for help?
Do you know how to respond to someone in crisis?
Do you have the tools and resources available to identify the root cause of mental health challenges?
